Salsa dancing this Thursday was really fun. It was very nice not to have to be in charge myself. I danced a lot with Yuliia and with Daisy, my two favorite people to dance with (outside of my mom and sister of course). We tried to go to a salsa lesson on Wednesday to Merrimack, NH (90 minute drive), but we had the info wrong (and we arrived late). We'll have to go some other time.

I am almost done with comic book collection. After Runaways I only had three to go. I finished The Twelve which is a really good comic by JMS about twelve heroes from World War II that were cryogenically kept for sixty years and are now awaken in the modern society. Quite good so far, I like the feel of the book. I am halfway through with "Hedge Knight" which is a really cool prequel to the famous "Song of Ice and Fire" series of George R. R. Martin (I haven't read that series, but I want to) and I've read one fifth of the "Deepak Chopra Presents: India Authentic" about Indian mythology (I read the chapter on Ganesh).

Of course, I get more comics every week, but in any case, I have always had at least three comics I hadn't read when I get new ones, this time on Wednesday (when the new comics arrive), I'll have at most one comic not read.

I watched two movies with Yuliia recently. We watched Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2. They were quite cool on second watching. I noticed some improbable things (specially on the second movie), but I noticed some very interesting things they did with the story, like Spider-Man telling Aunt May about how he's responsible for Ben's death. As far as I can tell, that was never treated in the comic books (or if it was, it was in JMS run when Spider-Man revealed to May that he was Peter Parker, but that storyline has been recently erased or as comic people say "retconned"). I noticed the beginning of Spider-Man 2 has beautiful paintings by Alex Ross in the credits (Alex Ross is the man) and that there are nice references in the movie to comic book moments, like when Spidey leaves his suit in a trash can and leaves away walking in a dark alley.

In terms of audiobooks, I heard Bill Bryson's A Short History of Nearly Everything. The book is really cool (although not as funny as his other books, at least not when talked out loud instead of read). It describes many interesting things in science, but mainly talks about how things were discovered, the history of the Big Bang, the history of finding dinosaur fossils, human fossils, dna, and many more things. It was very interesting to hear how recent some discoveries are and how many different things scientists have believed throughout the years and how many important scientists I hadn't even heard about. A really well researched book and a very interesting listen. I will probably listen it again at some point as I thought those things are worth knowing and not just listening. My next audiobook to listen is Obama's "Audacity of Hope" narrated by Obama himself. I started today and it has been great so far (30 minutes in).

Life has been great, mainly due to my relationship with Yuliia. I have always been a very happy person, but being with her makes me even more happy. I feel very lucky to have met such a wonderful person and to have the feelings we have for each other.
