I read the third trade for Ultimate Spider-Man it was very fun and I really enjoyed the portrayal of Kraven, it was very surprising (in a good way).
I read Runaways volume 1 (18 issues). It was fantastic. I really thought the pace of the comic was very good and the conclusion was very satisfying. This comic was supposed to end there, but it got so much support that the comic still runs now, I have the next two volumes which are 24 more issues (all the run Brian K. Vaughan wrote) and I am looking forward to it, although I expect it to be less good than the first volume. After BKV leaves the series, Joss Whedon picks it up, so I'll probably continue with the series.

Besides reading comics, I have attended teaching seminar and today I had to give a small 10 minute lecture where every fourth sentence was a question, it was funny to give a lecture to a biologist on modular forms.

Yuliia has been asking me to teach her Spanish and we've had two classes. Now she knows some pretty important sentences like "I want to dance" "do you want to dance?" "I want to dance NOW".

Yuliia and I went to the circus yesterday. I was surprised by the level of the acrobats, they were quite good. There was also a guy that did a lot of tricks on a rope, like riding a unicycle with his hands (standing on his hands) on top of the think rope, it was quite impressive. An extra fun part was seeing how Yuliia would get a little worried for the acrobats on specially hard tricks and then burst with applause when they would succeed. It was also fun to hear some people in the audience (including me at some points) go "No ..." (as in short for "No way") when you would realize what crazy thing they would try to improve on the crazy thing they had just done.

Leaving the circus we were treated to an incredible downpour of rain, which made it a little more memorable.
